Since his retirement from the athletics circuit, Bolt has been heavily involved in the sport of football and the Jamaican was given the opportunity to captain the World XI against England at Stamford Bridge in the charity match. World XI eventually lost 6-3 to the 'home side' with Bolt having to be stretchered off the field midgame. The Jamaican has now revealed more bad news as he has suffered from a ruptured Achilles tendon in his right foot.

Bolt last participated in the Summer Olympics in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, as he defended his 100-meter and 200-meter titles for the second straight Olympics. After finishing third in the 100-meter dash at the 2017 World Championships, he announced his retirement from the sport and he still holds the World Record for the 100-meter sprint at 9.58 seconds.
WHAT NEXT FOR BOLT?
Bolt will now be out of action until he returns to full fitness which would likely take close to six months. However, with the Jamaican having already retired, it will definitely be treated conservatively to avoid any complications.
