Marsch, who was sacked from his role at Elland Road in early February 2023, has since been involved in various punditry work while awaiting his next managerial opportunity. During an appearance on CBS Sports’ ‘Call It What You Want’ Podcast, Marsch was asked about the worst trainers he had coached across his various clubs. He candidly mentioned three players, including Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United who has been a star for the Whites this season in the Championship.

Marsch revealed: "In New York (Red Bulls), it was Kemar Lawrence, in Leeds it was Crysencio Summerville. Ademola Lookman maybe in Leipzig.
“So you have to understand your players but you also have to push them and say you have to train right and it’s less to do with earning my respect and more to do with your teammates' respect.”

Summerville's stellar form under current manager Daniel Farke highlights his talent and contribution to the team, despite Marsch's earlier concerns about his training ethic. He has been a livewire on the left wing and has 15 goals and eight assists in 30 appearances so far this campaign. He will be back in action against Leicester City on Friday evening at Elland Road.
